The importance of happy staff

Did you know that happy employees are the key to your business’ success? If your management style is to crack the whip, you may want to rethink your strategy.

Scientific evidence has shown that happiness makes people more productive. If employees feel valued through recognition and reward, they will be more likely to perform well for the business.

One of the hardest challenges most businesses face is attracting and retaining good staff. If staff are unhappy, your staff turnover will increase. Not only will this give your business a bad reputation, but it will really kill the mood for your remaining staff members.

Happiness is contagious. If staff are happy it will assist with creating a positive and inspiring atmosphere. Your turnover will likely decrease and your business will become a sought after workplace for applicants in your industry. Who wouldn’t want to work in a positive, supportive environment where hard work is recognised are rewarded?

And finally, the most important reason to focus on your staff’s happiness is for your customer’s satisfaction. Customers are more likely to purchase or engage services from a company again if they have a positive customer service experience.
